We are seeking a Six Sigma Black Belt to lead advanced problem-solving initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve product quality, process efficiency, and overall operational performance. This role focuses on driving continuous improvement efforts, supporting cross-functional teams, and mentoring engineering and production personnel in structured problem-solving techniques.
Position Responsibilities
Lean Six Sigma Project Leadership
- Lead and execute complex improvement projects using Six Sigma methodologies.
- Apply Design of Experiments (DOE), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Process Capability (Cpk/Ppk) tools.
- Drive improvements in productivity, quality, lead time, cycle time, and cost efficiency.
Process Improvement & Engineering Support
- Utilize Lean tools to reduce waste and improve end-to-end process flow.
- Apply Design for Manufacturability/Assembly (DFM/DFA), DFMEA, and PFMEA techniques.
- Support product and process design improvements to enhance performance and reliability.
Root Cause Analysis & Problem Solving
- Conduct structured root cause analysis to identify and resolve complex process issues.
- Develop corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring problems.
- Support data-driven decision-making through statistical analysis.
Training & Coaching
- Train, mentor, and coach engineers, quality teams, and production leadership on Lean Six Sigma tools.
- Facilitate Kaizen events and cross-functional workshops.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement across teams.
Data & Process Standardization
- Develop standardized processes for data collection and reporting.
- Assist in automation and mistake-proofing of data capture systems.
- Strengthen process documentation and visual management systems.
Other Duties
- Perform other duties as trained and qualified.
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Systems, or related field.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification required.
- Minimum 3 years of Lean Six Sigma experience in manufacturing or operational environments.
- Strong knowledge of DOE, process capability, and statistical analysis.
- Proficiency in Minitab and Excel.
- Experience in manufacturing and/or product development environments preferred.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Green Belt certification (if Black Belt not fully required by employer standards).
- Additional Lean, Quality, or Engineering certifications.
