We are seeking a Quality Supervisor to support the Quality Assurance function by maintaining, improving, and overseeing quality systems to ensure products meet customer expectations. This role provides leadership to quality inspectors and plays a key part in driving compliance, continuous improvement, and product quality across operations.
Position Responsibilities
Quality Systems Management
- Maintain, update, and improve quality systems and procedures.
- Serve as SOP Administrator, managing creation, revision, and removal of standard operating procedures.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and internal requirements.
Inspection & Production Support
- Supervise quality inspectors and ensure proper testing of finished goods.
- Support production teams to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Oversee inspection activities for ongoing production and new product launches.
Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Action
- Investigate non-conforming products and customer complaints.
- Identify root causes and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain records of complaints and corrective actions and report findings to leadership.
Audits & External Coordination
- Coordinate with audit teams and external laboratories.
- Define testing requirements and review laboratory results.
- Communicate findings internally and determine product acceptance status.
Leadership & Performance Management
- Provide supervision and performance management for Quality Inspectors.
- Act as second-in-command within the Quality function.
- Provide feedback to manufacturing teams based on quality findings and audit results.
Continuous Improvement & Data Analysis
- Utilize quality tools such as flow charts, check sheets, cause-and-effect diagrams, and control charts.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes.
- Ensure accurate data collection and reporting for decision-making.
Other Duties
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Prerequisites
- Minimum 5 years of progressive quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in quality management and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and GD&T (testing may be required).
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret data and implement corrective actions.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
- Lean Six Sigma certification.
- Internal auditor certifications (ISO/AS9100).
