We are seeking a Program Manager to oversee aerospace and defense programs with both government and commercial customers. This role is responsible for managing programs from contract award through delivery, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget requirements are met while serving as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams.
Position Responsibilities
Program Management & Execution
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned programs.
- Manage program execution from award through delivery.
- Track scope, schedule, budget, and overall program performance.
- Provide regular program status updates to leadership and customers.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate across engineering, purchasing, operations, and quality teams.
- Ensure alignment of all departments to meet program objectives.
- Facilitate communication between internal teams and external customers.
Proposal & Contract Support
- Support proposal development for new business opportunities.
- Assist in defining scope, cost estimates, and schedules.
- Monitor contract requirements and ensure compliance with customer expectations.
Risk & Compliance Management
- Identify and mitigate program risks and issues proactively.
- Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements, including government standards where applicable.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain program documentation, meeting notes, and communication logs.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of program status and updates.
Other Duties
- Perform other duties as trained and qualified.
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- 3–5 years of program or project management experience in aerospace, defense, or manufacturing.
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications preferred.
- Familiarity with government contracting (FAR/DFARS) is a plus.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., JobBOSS or similar).
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Project, PowerPoint).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Project Management Professional (PMP).
- Program or Lean management certifications.
