We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Procurement to lead enterprise-wide sourcing and procurement initiatives. This leadership role is responsible for developing procurement strategies, optimizing supplier performance, driving cost efficiencies, and ensuring continuity of supply across a diverse range of categories. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of operational execution, cross-functional leadership, and supplier relationship management.
Position Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management
- Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals
- Identify, evaluate, and manage key supplier relationships to ensure performance, quality, and value
Cost Optimization & Contract Negotiation
- Lead pricing negotiations and contract management to drive cost savings while maintaining quality and compliance
- Conduct spend analysis and identify opportunities for cost reduction across all categories
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with internal departments including operations, finance, and legal to support procurement planning and execution
- Provide procurement insights and data to aid in enterprise decision-making
Risk Management & Compliance
- Mitigate supply chain risks by developing contingency plans and monitoring supplier performance
- Ensure adherence to internal procurement policies and external regulatory requirements
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and mentor a high-performing procurement team, setting clear goals and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Identify and support opportunities for professional development and training within the team
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- 10+ years of progressive experience in procurement or supply chain leadership roles
- Demonstrated success in managing complex, global sourcing initiatives
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management)
- CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management)
- PMP (Project Management Professional)
