We are seeking an experienced and results-driven General Manager to oversee the daily operations, strategic direction, and financial performance of a dynamic business unit. This leadership role requires a strong operator who can effectively manage cross-functional teams, ensure service excellence, and drive profitability through efficient practices and strong customer focus. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of operational excellence, team leadership, and business development, with a hands-on approach to solving challenges and improving processes.
Position Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Direct and oversee all aspects of day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless workflow, safety, and quality standards.
- Implement best practices to optimize performance, reduce costs, and improve service levels across departments.
- Monitor production and service metrics, taking corrective action to meet or exceed goals.
Team Management & Development
- Lead, coach, and motivate department managers and team members to achieve individual and company-wide objectives.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Identify talent gaps and support training, performance management, and succession planning initiatives.
Financial & Business Performance
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and P&L statements to ensure financial health and growth.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Drive revenue growth through operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Customer & Client Relations
- Ensure high standards of customer service and responsiveness to client needs.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, vendors, and partners.
- Resolve complex customer issues and implement long-term solutions to enhance retention and satisfaction.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure all business operations adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
- Oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance, minimizing risk across the organization.
- Enforce internal policies and support audit and reporting procedures.
Prerequisites
- 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations, manufacturing, logistics, or general management roles.
- Strong background in managing teams, budgets, and business metrics.
- Proven ability to lead in fast-paced, performance-driven environments.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Certifications (Preferred, but not Required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field is required.
- Advanced degrees (MBA, MS) or professional certifications such as PMP, Six Sigma, or Lean are preferred but not required.
