Core Responsibilities:

Decipher and extrapolate from client drawings, machining symbols, weld symbols, specifications, and calculate corresponding costs.
Lead and participate in estimate kickoff meetings to strategize RFQ pursuits.
Craft labor-hour strategies, after consulting with the shop when required, for the most economical approach to projects. Extract data from drawings to determine labor hours.
Collaborate closely with the sales division to formulate proficient pricing strategies for RFQs.
Based on the job’s nature, drawing state, and fabrication complexity, ascertain detailing hours.
Procure pricing for essential materials, ensuring optimal yield and minimal waste.
Engage directly with clients, engineers, vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers, both in-person and digitally, fortifying stellar working relationships.
Decipher portions of the estimate to be subcontracted, and critically assess subcontractor quotations for accuracy.
Draft detailed quote estimates, factoring in any assumptions or exclusions made.
