- The Toronto Web Developer will work with business leaders in the company to identify the purpose and needs for planned products.
- Oversee the process of integrating information into new or existing products, work with stakeholders to ensure that the final product meets all needs.
- Develop structural plans for web development projects with deadlines and benchmarks.
- The Toronto Web Developer will assign tasks to members of the web development team to ensure projects are completed before the deadline.
- Collaborate with the Web Development team to check code and evaluate systems to ensure optimum functionality.
- Consistently maintain coding knowledge and remain current in the trends and developments in the field of web development.
- Take part in product presentations, performing assigned tasks, and meeting with clients.
- Perform other tasks as necessary and directed by business leadership.
Web Developer (Toronto Area) Job Requirements:
- A four year degree from an accredited university in a related field.
- A minimum of five years of experience in a relevant Web Development role.
- Experience with Ruby (Solid Ruby on Rails; Rails 2 through 4) and Javascript (MVC Framworks; NodeJS development, configuration and tooling) programming languages.
- Experience designing with HTML and CSS for a minimum of five years.
- Design experience with web frameworks.
- Able to write database code for both relational and non-relational databases.
- Familiar with REST or SOAP-Based API integration.
- Experience with Salesforce, Ical, Zimbra, and eloqua integration processes.
- Able to work in a collaborative team environment, but also able to work independently with little direction.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- An understanding of business processes.
