Columbus Technical Manager Overview:
The Columbus Technical Manager will oversee the process engineering department as well as the quality assurance department. The Columbus Technical manager will meet regularly with plant management in order to understand the goals and objectives of the quality and process engineering departments. The Columbus Technical Manage will assign tasks and duties to associates in order to reach plant objectives on time or ahead of schedule.
Columbus Technical Manager Job Opening
- The Columbus Technical Manager will schedule and assign all tasks to be performed by Quality Associates.
- Provides direction and feedback to process engineering and lab personnel.
- Takes actions to ensure that the facility maintains its quality certifications.
- The Columbus Technical Manager will work closely with corporate R&D staff to ensure that the best and most current practices are being utilized at the facility.
- Field customer complaints on quality issues; invites customers on site if necessary.
- Lead investigations into quality issues.
- The Columbus Technical Manager will consistently and regularly analyze manufacturing and quality assurance systems.
- Develop and implement quality/process improvements.
- Plan and lead trainings for new production processes and new quality assurance systems.
- Lead investigations into safety incidents, and ensure personnel are appropriately trained.
Technical Manager (Columbus Area) Job Requirements:
- A minimum of a four year degree from an accredited institution.
- At least six years of supervisory experience in a high paced manufacturing facility.
- A minimum of ten years experience in manufacturing.
- At least five years of experience supervising or managing associates in a manufacturing facility.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong, rational problem solving skills; able to determine facts, develop solutions, and select the proper course of action with little hesitation.
- Project management experience, PMP certification would be preferred.
- Familiar with SAP.
- Familiar with process safety management.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Able to resolve issues in a professional manner.
