For this job, the Technical DBA Lead will be supporting the company’s clients across various different industries for various job orders while being based in Detroit, Michigan. He or she will be balancing a full schedule of IT work and mentoring and leading a small team of Database Administrators (DBA) in Detroit, Michigan. The Technical DBA lead will be providing technical expertise and thoughtful leadership in order to figure out ways to best implement DBA services remotely in the Detroit, Michigan office. The Technical DBA Lead will guide DBA associates on best practices when it comes to recommending products and services to clients throughout Michigan. He or she will also be monitoring the databases of the client and will periodically be the primary resource for them. In other instances, the Technical DBA Lead will be a part of a larger team for different jobs.

Detroit Technical DBA Lead Job Opening

• The Technical DBA Lead is responsible for the upkeep and support of several Oracle, EBS databases, and ancillary applications.
• For this job, the role must utilize expertise in oracle applications in order to best service clients.
• The position will conduct regular maintenance of SQL and Oracle applications.
• The Technical DBA Lead will monitor all database scripts.
• The role will analyze the current IT structure of client companies and recommend improvements of applications to their systems.
• For this job, the Technical DBA Lead will troubleshoot application issues and recommend solutions in order to rectify them.
• The Technical DBA Lead will occasionally have to travel outside of Detroit, Michigan for this job.
• The role will take on other duties as given by the company’s IT Manager.

Job Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
• Completing the bachelor’s degree in the top quarter of the graduating class.
• At least 5 years of experience working with Oracle and SQL applications.
• Job experience leading teams is preferred.
