Detroit Supply Chain Manager Overview:
The Supply Chain Manager, in Detroit, Michigan, will be responsible for all aspects of the supply chain organization. This job will utilize the candidate’s ability to develop and implement a strategic vison for the supply chain organization. This individual will establish long term agreements with raw material and special process suppliers. In this Detroit job, the Supply Chain Manager will also be responsible for inventory control, demand planning, and commodity strategies. This role will require the management of internal and external relationships with suppliers. This job will also be responsible for developing and implementing training initiatives and procedures for the department. The Detroit Supply Chain Manager will also create tools to support procurement and subcontract planning.

- Develop a strategic vision for the supply chain organization in relation to commodity strategy, long term agreements, cost reductions, and procurement.
- This job will resolve business issues associated with procurement work streams.
- This job requires analyzing both short and long-term inventory status and planning product movement and production.
- Create and implement procurement procedures and training initiatives.
- Define and track supply chain performance metrics for the entire supply chain department.
Supply Chain Manager (Detroit Area) Job Requirements:
- This role requires a bachelor’s Degree in supply chain management or related field.
- Prior experience as a supply chain or logistics manager (10+ years).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of procurement strategies including supplier selection, scheduling, inventory control, logistics, and shipping/receiving.
- APICS certification is strongly preferred.
