The Los Angeles Supply Chain Engineer will develop plans for continuous improvement. The Supply Chain Engineer will analyze the overall functions of the supply chain to create plans to improve current and future functions. The Supply Chain Engineer will collaborate with other engineers and also provide coaching and mentoring. The Supply Chain Engineer will regularly interface with customer and management to identify areas for improvement.
Los Angeles Supply Chain Engineer Job Opening
- The Los Angeles Supply Chain Engineer will gather and analyze data on supply chain process to find gaps and areas for improvement.
- Plan and suggest procedures to improve supply chain operations by utilizing internal methods and supply chain tools to re-design transportation and distribution processes.
- Develop metrics to measure inventory and supply chain evaluations, utilize these metrics to identify areas for improvement and suggest new strategies.
- The Los Angeles Supply Chain Engineer will provide assistance to the sales strategies by improving services.
- Interface with Sales, Operations, and also customers to identify and create value propositions.
- Partner with Engineering and Operations managers to improve processes.
Supply Chain Engineer (Los Angeles Area) Job Requirements:
- A minimum of a four year degree in business, supply chain, engineering, or a related field from an accredited university—or at least eight years of related experience.
- At least six years of experience in a supply chain engineering role.
- Possession of a Masters of Business Administration or a Masters degree in industrial engineering would be preferred for this job.
- Possession of APICS certification would be preferred.
- A high level of familiarity with Microsoft office suite of products.
- Experience with warehouse and transportation management experience, network analysis tools, and mapping analysis tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
