Indianapolis Sr. Manufacturing Engineer Overview:

The Indianapolis Sr. Manufacturing Engineer will identify areas of improvement concerning quality and productivity. By using continuous improvement tools, the Sr. Manufacturing Engineer will develop and implement modifications to improve the manufacturing process. The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer will also assist in root cause analysis and the investigation of other issues within the facility.

Indianapolis Senior Manufacturing Engineer Job Opening

Plan, design, implement, and refine the manufacturing processes within the facility.
Perform evaluations on current and new manufacturing processes to identify areas of improvement. Gather data to assist decision making.
The Indianapolis Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer will be the Subject Matter Expert for the manufacturing processes within the facility.
The Indianapolis Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer prepare and create instructions, visual aids, and reference cards for processes and equipment to minimize errors.
Plan and implement process improvements to assist in obtaining company and plant objectives.
Establish benchmarks for projects, notify internal and external stakeholders of project progress. Communicate any issues or potential delays.
The Indianapolis Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer will Continuously work to optimize the manufacturing processes.
Suggest new equipment to improve processes.
Train workers in new processes in ensure safety, efficiency, and quality.
The Indianapolis Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer will also mentor, coach, and develop co-op engineers.
Mentor and assist other Manufacturing Process Engineers

Senior Manufacturing Engineer (Indianapolis Area) Job Requirements:

A four-year degree in engineering would be preferred, a technical degree or equivalent experience required for this job.
At least seven years of experience working in manufacturing.
Strong mentoring and coaching abilities.
Experience implementing process changes
Knowledgeable of concepts and tools such as APQP, PPAP, GD&T, Capability Analysis, D/PFMEA, and SPC.
Experience developing and leading trainings in a manufacturing facility.
Able to work cross-functionally.
Six Sigma Black belt training, certification preferred for this job.
Great verbal and written communication skills.
Familiarity with Minitab, MS Visio, and MS project.
Lean manufacturing certification
Possession of Project Management Professional certification preferred.
Familiar with Microsoft office.
