Salt Lake City Senior Director of Continuous Improvement Overview: 

The predominant responsibility of the Senior Director of Continuous Improvement is to ensure the excellent quality of the company’s product by facilitating the continuous improvement of the quality control processes. A subsequent role of the Senior Director of Continuous Improvement will be to manage several cross-functional teams from the operations and quality assurance departments and to educate and inform them of changes in practice or technique. In addition, he or she will be tasked with determine issues within processes and engineer improvement-related solutions. For this job, the Senior Director of Continuous Improvement will report directly to a Vice President of Operations but will have minimal supervision.

• The primary job of the Salt Lake City Senior Director of Continuous Improvement will to make sure the quality of the company’s product is on par with standards by monitoring the improvement of quality assurance initiatives.
• Additionally, he or she will be expected to identify issues within processes and develop solutions related to continuous improvement.
• The Salt Lake City Senior Director of Continuous improvement will also supervise the interfacing between several teams within the company including the operations and quality assurance departments.
• The ideal Senior Director of Continuous Improvement will assist the company in accomplishing their goals related to safety, quality, service, and costs.
• There are several and frequent travel requirements outside of Salt Lake City, Utah for this job.
• The Salt Lake City Senior Director of Continuous Improvement will accomplish any additional jobs as necessary.

Senior Director of Continuous Improvement (Salt Lake City Area) Job Requirements: 

• A four-year degree, master’s preferred, in an engineering-focused field.
• At least ten years of relevant experience within a manufacturing setting.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Six Sigma Black or Green belt certification is a plus for this job.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
