Houston Senior Auditor Overview:
The Houston Senior Auditor leads personnel in performing audit services. The Houston Senior Auditor will develop audit plans, assign given tasks to personnel on the team, and will ensure that tasks are completed through out the process. The Houston Senior Auditor will serve as the main point of contact with the client company and will take direction from the firm in performing his or her auditing duties.

- The Houston Senior Auditor will lead the kick off of all audit projects for assigned clients.
- Establish an audit plan, assign tasks for members of the team, and oversee the completion of the tasks.
- Assist in the creation of accounting procedures and SEC accounting and reporting rules for the client organizations. As necessary, develop policies for presenting financial statements.
- The Houston Senior Auditor will learn the PCAOB standards as well as generally accepted audit techniques and procedures to perform the job correctly.
- Direct, train, and coach audit associates and interns through out the process.
- Investigate and understand all issues related to the audit and the clients’ financial statements.
- The Houston Senior Auditor will work with key staff of the client’s business and the problems it is currently facing.
Senior Auditor (Houston Area) Job Requirements:
- A four year degree in the field of accounting or a related field from an accredited university.
- A Master’s degree in a related field would be preferable for this position.
- Possession of a Certified Public Accountant certification or actively progressing toward obtaining a certification.
- Proven project management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to succeed in a team oriented environment.
- A high level of business acumen.
- Client-oriented mindset.
- Excellent organizational skills, able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- At least a year and a half or recent auditing experience while performing public accounting duties.
- Strong computer skills, able to use Microsoft Office programs, particularly excel.
