Detroit Sales Manager Overview:

It is the Sales Manager’s responsibility to Assign sales territories, set sales goals, and establish training programs for all sales representatives. The Sales Manager will be developing new customers and markets for several products (ABS, Engineering Plastics, Rubber and Specialties) in North America to maximize sales for the team. The right candidate for the job will have extensive knowledge of Japanese Original Equipment Manufacturers preferably from previous sales work experience. Experience with petrochemicals distributers is preferable, as the Sales Manager must conduct market research and provide reports of current market situations to senior management as well as their staff.

• The Sales Manager will be developing new customers and markets for several products.
• Frequent visits and communication with customers is necessary to determine needs, generate solutions, and strengthen client relationships.
• The Sales Manager will be researching and analyzing industry information to accurately apply pricing and maximize company sales and profits.
• This job requires supervision of shipment logistics through SAP system to ensure prompt delivery.
• Sales Managers will be responsible for accounts receivable follow-up to reduce aging and follow-up on collecting receivable monies.

Sales Manager (Detroit Area) Job Requirements:

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or a related field.
• Must have 5-10 years of related sales experience with petrochemicals.
• The right job candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Job candidates must be skilled in the use of PCs and related software (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
• Must have knowledge of SAP (ERP) system is preferred.
• Must be willing to travel up to 75%.
