Nashville Quality Manager Overview:
The Nashville Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing all quality functioned within an assigned area. The Nashville Quality Manager will direct, monitor, and train all quality personnel within the assigned area. The Quality Manager will monitor KPI’s to identify quality trends and plan changes to more accurately identify non-conforming parts. Work with senior managers to identify objectives to improve quality and develop plans to improve systems.
Nashville Quality Manager Job Opening
- The Nashville Quality Manager will oversee productivity, cost, quality, and safety standards within the assigned quality area.
- Manage, direct, and train a staff of quality personnel.
- Ensure that safety, productivity, budget, and quality benchmarks are all maintained within the assigned area.
- The Nashville Quality Manager will interface regularly with manufacturing staff and process engineers in order to minimize quality issues and improve quality.
- Ensure that quality standards are strictly upheld within the assigned area.
- Develop quality assurance plans for new manufacturing processes, identify key concerns and develop plans for checking quality effectively.
- The Nashville Quality Manager will partner with finance personnel and industrial engineers to maintain an adequate headcount within the assigned area.
- Prepare reports on quality errors and work with process engineers to rectify issues.
Quality Manager (Nashville Area) Job Requirements:
- A four year degree in engineering or a technical field from an accredited university.
- At least seven to ten years of automotive quality management experience.
- At least five years of experience managing quality personnel.
- Strong understanding of Statistical Process Control and other quality tools and techniques.
- Lean Six Sigma training and certification would be highly preferable for this position.
- Strong communication skills, able to positively and professional influence personnel.
- Proven ability to meet goals and objectives to improve quality of manufactured parts.
- Strong leadership abilities, able to develop a staff through training and positive encouragement.
- Exceptional organizational skills, able to meet deadlines for several tasks with concurrent deadlines.
