For this job, the Quality Manager would be in charge of the quality engineering activities at the Jackson, Michigan plant. He or she will have a large role in selecting, recruiting, hiring, and training of quality technicians, engineers, and other jobs within the Jackson, Michigan plant. The Quality Manager will need to champion various lean manufacturing and continuous improvement objectives on the plant floor to contribute to operational efficiency. For this job, the Quality Manager will be a part of the quality engineering department and will report to the organization’s Director of Quality.

• The Quality Manager will achieve organizational objectives by building a team of quality engineering professionals and managing job expectations for them at the greater Jackson, Michigan plant.
• The Quality Manager will contribute to quality assurance financial goals by assessing estimating requirements, monitoring inventories, and coming up with change procedures to cut down on costs.
• For this job, the Quality Manager will contribute to the improvement of product quality through inspections and quality.
• The Quality Manager will develop metrics by which the company can measure product quality at the Jackson, Michigan plant.
• The Quality Manager will not need to travel outside of Jackson, Michigan for this job.
• The Quality Manager will take on any additional jobs as assigned by the Director of Quality.

Quality Manager (Jackson Area) Job Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in an engineering or business-related field.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in the automotive industry is a plus for this job.
• Experience improving manufacturing processes.
