Quality Manager job opening in Detroit, Michigan. Our quality assurance recruiters are seeking a Quality Manager in Detroit, Michigan for a well-known manufacturer. The company is seeking a Quality Manager preferably with experience in the rubber and/or plastic injection molding industries. In order to grow the business from a revenue and customer base standpoint, the Quality Manager will implement process improvements to reduce spending and increase efficiency throughout the greater Detroit area site.
Detroit Quality Manager Overview:
The main job for the Quality Manager will be to educate employees and implement the proper training as to best company practices that will benefit the Detroit plant. The Quality Manager’s job is also to act as the main point of contact concerning quality control issues, including loss reporting and problem identification. Designing and implementing performance metrics to better track the progress at the Detroit plant will also be the job of the Quality Manager. The Detroit area job will also need a Quality Manager that can develop relationships with customers to determine the best processes to fulfill their needs in a timely manner.
Detroit Quality Manager Job Opening
- The Quality Manager will establish systems to collect and analyze data in order to identify trends that can be used to develop improvement strategies at the Detroit area plant.
- The job requires that the Quality Manager sets performance metrics for the Detroit plant, monitoring employee progress on a day-to-day basis and offering assistance in areas that can be improved upon.
- The job will necessitate root cause analysis to identify areas of the process at the Detroit site that can be made more efficient, with an emphasis on saving time and reducing costs for the company as a whole.
- Instituting a Quality Management System will be the job of the Quality Manager, as well as creating solid team cooperation throughout the Detroit site through communication and leadership.
Quality Manager (Detroit Area) Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
- At least five (5) years of experience in the manufacturing of plastic injection molding or rubber, with rubber being preferred.
- At least five (5) years of experience in Quality Systems Management.
- Six Sigma certification is preferred but not required.
- Strong business acumen a plus.
