Chicago Quality Manager Overview:

The Chicago Quality Manager will develop, implement, and oversee quality management processes to ensure that manufactured goods meet all external and internal quality standards. The Chicago Quality Manager will also investigate all quality errors. When customers discover nonconformance issues, the quality manager will work with the customer to rectify the error. The Chicago quality manager will also schedule and oversee internal quality audits and assist with audits of vendors.

Chicago Quality Manager Job Opening

The Chicago Quality Manager will direct the day to day activities of quality lab technicians.
Ensure that lab technicians follow the proper process for testing the quality of materials and products.
Verify the Certificate of analysis and test the properties of incoming materials.
The Chicago Quality Manager will notify vendors and suppliers of materials that do not meet quality expectations and receive new materials.
Ensure that lab technicians perform all necessary in process tests and document findings.
Ensure that lab technicians test all final products.
The Chicago Quality Manager will maintain quality records and databases, ensuring that all quality tests are documented and errors are noted.
Develop and lead trainings for lab technicians on the statistical control process, quality systems, quality specifications, and customer expectations.
Lead in the investigation of quality issues and root cause analyses.
The Chicago quality manager will work closely with plant management and production management to investigate quality defects.
Perform other duties as necessary and directed.

Quality Manager (Chicago Area) Job Requirements:

A four year degree in engineering or quality management from an accredited institution.
At least one year of experience in as quality engineer.
At least five years of management experience in a manufacturing facility.
A proven understanding of statistical process control.
Familiar with troubleshooting equality issues.
Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite of programs such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and outlook.
A demonstrated ability to develop a staff of personnel.
A demonstrated history of successful process improvement projects.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Familiar with quality auditing processes.
Comfortable working in a high paced manufacturing environment.
