- Research potential suppliers and vendors to obtain the most competitive prices for supplies and services without sacrificing quality.
- During market research, meet with quality personnel in order to confirm the quality of materials from potential vendors.
- The Atlanta Purchasing Manager will work with senior leaders to identify areas where costs could be cut.
- Coordinate visits to vendor facilities with all stake holders.
- Work with buyers to improve agreements with vendors and service providers.

Purchasing Manager (Atlanta Area) Job Requirements:
- A four year degree from an accredited institution in business or a related field.
- At least five to seven years of experience in a Purchasing Manager role.
- At least three years of management experience in a purchasing department.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with SAP software.
- Familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite of programs such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Able to manage several projects simultaneously and meet all benchmarks or deadlines.
- A proven history of implementing cost saving policies and processes.
- A demonstrated ability to train and develop a staff.
