Detroit Program Manager Overview:
The Detroit Program Manager will oversee all functions from attaining the job award to the final process sign off. The Detroit Program Manager will be responsible for working with all internal and external stake holders to ensure the new product is successfully launched. The Detroit Program manager will need to ensure the program meets all quality requirements while staying under budget and on schedule.
Detroit Program Manager Job Opening
- The Detroit Program Manager will lead the Program team throughout the system to bring a process to launch.
- Determine all key stakeholders both internally and externally, ensure they are in communication throughout the process.
- Create and administer time lines for the program as well as the open issues list.
- The Detroit Program Manager will determine the deliverables, delegate them to appropriate personnel, and will follow up on them until complete.
- Evaluate risks as they arise, make potential issues known to management when necessary.
- Ensure that customers, program team members, vendors, and all key stakeholders understand when issues or timing problems arise.
- The Detroit Program Manager will take actions necessary to meet APQP milestones on schedule.
- Facilitate all activities to ensure that the hand off to production goes without issue.
Program Manager (Detroit Area) Job Requirements:
- A minimum of a four year degree from an accredited institution.
- At least four years of automotive program management experience.
- Certification from the project management institute would be strongly desired for this job.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office suite of programs such as Excel, Word, Power Point, Project, and Outlook.
- Able to communicate clearly and concisely with peers.
- Able to understand and interpret technical materials such as maintenance instructions, manuals, safety rules, and other information.
- Good mathematical skills, familiar with probability, statistical inference, geometry, trigonometry, fractions, percentages, ratio, and proportions.
- Able to manage multiple objectives.
- Excellent problem solving skills, able to jump between issues without letting anything get out of control.
