Detroit Program Manager Overview:
The Detroit Program Manager will oversee assigned programs and work with all key players to ensure that tasks are completed on schedule. The Detroit Program Manager will schedule regular meetings for personnel to share information, provide updates, and collaborate to solve challenging issues. The Program Manager will coordinate with product development and manufacturing staff to ensure that manufacturing launches occur smoothly. The Program Manager will also serve as a partner to clients to ensure products exceed expectations.

- The Detroit Program Manager will manage program deadlines, tasks, and objectives.
- Schedules and leads meetings to discuss important information, delegate projects, and share updates on program developments.
- Ensures that all personnel are completing tasks on schedule, and develops solutions when deadlines may not be met.
- The Detroit Program Manager will provide updates to senior leaders and customers.
- Meet with clients and seek their input in order to develop products that fulfill client needs.
- Complete reports on program progress and other information.
- The Detroit Program Manager will develop targets for the program in order to ensure the program meets all cost, quality, and efficiency bench marks.
- Partners with purchasing personnel as well as product development personnel to select raw materials for the manufacturing process.
- Performs other duties as necessary and directed.
Program Manager (Detroit Area) Job Requirements:
- A four year degree in engineering, business, or a related area from an accredited institution.
- At least ten years of automotive industry experience.
- At least five years of program management experience.
- Familiar with metals manufacturing processes.
- Strong leadership skills, able to build consensus and a collaborative environment.
- Excellent organizational skills, able to manage several priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with internal and external personnel.
- Understanding of automotive sourcing procedures.
- PMP certification would be preferable for this position.
- A positive, energetic personality, able to remain flexible.
