Atlanta Product Development Engineer Overview:
The Product Development Engineer will be responsible for leadership of new product developments from concept all the way through to the products production launch. This job will also be in charge of prioritizing safety by overseeing the new product development productivity, quality improvements, and regularly performs checks to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. By overseeing the new product development process this job will also be expected to lead manufacturing trials, testing, and measurements to make sure that the process is being run optimal way. This position will also be needed to travel across the US, Mexico, and Asia about 15% of the time.

- Leading new product development from initial design until the product reaches product launch
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to research and understand the wants and desires of the market
- Support the research and development process by ensure all designs are optimized and are able to be manufactured
- Develop new product prototypes and perform initial testing and first stage evaluations as well as consumer feedback
- Create and keep updated the product quality specifications, along with product trackers and timelines along with other key documents.
- Evaluate all test results and make changes to product specifications as seen fit.
Product Development Engineer (Atlanta Area) Job Requirements:
- BA or BS in Mechanical Engineering is a plus, however another engineering degree is acceptable
- Team orientated mindset
- Sap experience is preferred
- Experience with CREO/Pro Engineer is preferred however some other CAD software’s will be accepted
- Experience with various manufacturing processes including; injection molding, extrusion, metal stamping/forming, powder coating, fabric production and construction, plastic application and assembly methods.
- Experience with manufacturing and manufacturing cultures of Mexico and Asia will be beneficial in the role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office suite, such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel
