Greenville Process Engineer Overview:

The Process Engineer will be a significant part of the manufacturing team in Greenville. He or she will be in full knowledge of the plant floor layout and fabrication processes. This position will be the “go to” person for all lean manufacturing and process needs of the department. The Process Engineer will be providing engineering support for the entire Greenville production floor for this job. For this job, the Process Engineer will ned to creatively strategize ways to optimize production cycles in order to cut down on manufacturing time and make the company more efficient with what it produces. The Process Engineer will have Engineering Assistants reporting to him or her and will be reporting to the Engineering Manager.

• The Process Engineer must engineer ways to optimize production and manufacturing processes for the fabrication department.
• For this job, the role must support production technicians with engineering and technical knowledge.
• The position must act as a leader for engineering assistants while on the job.
• The Process Engineer must champion continuous improvement processes for production by utilizing kaizen lean manufacturing methods.
• The role must work with the maintenance department in order to upkeep fabrication equipment.
• The position must head up all lean six sigma initiatives.
• The role does not require any travel outside of Greenville, North Carolina.
• The Process Engineer will conduct any special assignments as given by the Engineering Manager.

Process Engineer (Greenville Area) Job Requirements:

• A 4-year degree from a reputable college or university, preferably in the engineering fields.
• At least 3 years of job experience in process and manufacturing engineering.
• Six sigma certification is a plus for this job.
• Ability to work well in teams and solve problems.
• Experience in steel fabrication is a plus.
