Atlanta Process Engineer Overview:
The Atlanta, Georgia Process Engineer will evaluate, critique, and improve manufacturing process within the facility. This Atlanta job will report directly to the plant manager. Additionally, the Atlanta Process Engineer will supervise manufacturing staff working in the process. The Process Engineer shall lead all process studies and kaizen events.

- The Process Engineer will perform regular evaluations of the manufacturing process. Identify areas of improvements and develop changes.
- Work with product engineers to develop new manufacturing processes.
- The Process Engineer will train all production staff whenever processes are changed or new processes are implemented.
- Always be observant of opportunities for cost, quality, or safety improvements.
- The Process Engineer will perform statistical studies to identify processes that could be streamlined or otherwise improved.
- Ensure that machines have maintenance performed regularly and on schedule. Maintain record of all maintenance actions performed.
- The Process Engineer will make suggestions for equipment improvements that could be made for safety, cost, or quality benefits.
- When processes have systematic errors, perform a root cause failure analysis and develop a solution.
- The Process Engineer will partner with quality staff for all investigations, provide suggestions and insight.
- Supervise, direct, and coach all production staff. Administer corrective actions with personnel who consistently need coaching.
- Maintain database of all manufacturing processes designed, with notes concerning applications and any errors or insights that were learned.
- The Process Engineer will participate in the planning and leading of all safety training programs at the Atlanta, Georgia.
- Maintain a current knowledge of trends and innovations in the field through attending trade shows, reading periodicals, and other activities in order to keep the company efficient and competitive.
Process Engineer (Atlanta Area) Job Requirements:
- A four year degree in mechanical engineering or a related field would be preferable for this job.
- 5-7 years of job experience working as a Process Engineer.
- Sheet metal working experience preferred for this job.
- Exceptional analytical skills.
- Great communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good computer skills, able to use Microsoft office.
- Exceptional mathematical skills, able to use statistical tools to evaluate processes.
- Experience managing production staff would be preferable for this job.
