Ann Arbor Process Engineer Overview:

The primary job of the Ann Arbor Process Engineer will be to conduct root cause analysis of manufacturing waste and create new processes in order to remove it. The Process Engineer will serve as lead and champion of all continuous improvement initiatives at the greater Ann Arbor site. The Process engineer will additionally have to collaborate with different departments depending on the nuances of each job order. Additionally, this role will be expected to provide leadership and mentorship to technicians within the plant. The Process Engineer will not be managing anyone for this job, but he or she will be a part of the engineering department and will report directly to the Process Engineering Manager at the greater Ann Arbor site.

• The Process Engineer must consistently analyze the injection molding and manufacturing processes at the greater Ann Arbor, Michigan site.
• For this job, the Process Engineer must utilize a scientific approach to problem solve and come up with process improvements.
• The Process Engineer must keep cost, quality, and expediency in mind when conducting process improvements.
• The Process Engineer will perform corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) in order to maintain best practices for manufacturing operations.
• This job will take on any other assigned duties and tasks as necessary.
• The Process Engineer will accomplish any other duties and tasks as given by the Process Engineering Manager in greater Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Process Engineer (Ann Arbor Area) Job Requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in an engineering field is required for this job.
• A minimum of 4 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Six Sigma certification/kaizen preferred for this job.
