Electrical Controls Engineer Job Opening Responsibilities:

Assume lead technical responsibility for design, development, training, performance, and implementation of new or modified systems requiring integration across multifunctional groups.
Specify new equipment designs and coordinate fabrication, installation, training, testing, and qualification, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.
Collaborate with the EH&S team to ensure adherence to ergonomic and energy control requirements and safety and environmental regulations.
Utilize engineering analytical skills to identify root cause failures and implement corrective actions.
Prepare and present technical papers to internal and/or external stakeholders.
Analyze and propose new business opportunities and implement strategic plans.
Seek and implement continuous improvements to enhance project performance.
Analyze and resolve electrical, instrumentation, controls, and logic issues on production equipment.
Lead equipment reliability efforts through the evaluation of component failures and system failure mechanisms.
Generate or support the creation of accurate drawings and reports to document and communicate designs.
Create conceptual designs, technical documentation, and budget estimates for bids and proposals.
Develop and lead the strategy for the controls group.
Act as the lead controls engineer providing leadership to the controls team.
Work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment and provide technical leadership on projects.

Electrical Controls Engineer Job Opening Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
5 – 10 years of electrical maintenance experience.
Experience with Allen Bradley PLC hardware configuration and PLC programming.
Experience with AC and DC drives and motors, servo drives, instrumentation, and controls.
Ability to read, interpret, and update electrical drawings.
Experience with .NET, Wonderware, and Ignition programming is preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to ensure multiple assignments are completed properly and on time.
Ability to effectively multitask and handle changing work assignments, schedules, and priorities.
