The main job of the PLC Field Service Technician will be to travel out to company clients and service their machinery. Additionally, the PLC Field Service Technician will have a responsibility in the electrical designs for different processes and automation throughout the greater Dayton, Ohio territory. Additionally, he or she will work with subcontractors to make sure that various processes are in agreement with compliance and safety regulations. The PLC Field Service Technician will be a part of the customer service department and will not manage any technician directly. The PLC Field Service Technician will report to the Field Service Manager at the greater Dayton, Ohio location.

- For this job, the PLC Field Service Technician will work with colleagues, clients, suppliers, and contracts to go over product designs and brainstorm potential projects for engineering.
- The PLC Field Technician will assemble and upgrade manufacturing machine systems, primarily focusing on PLC, HMI, Robotics, and Servo programs.
- Coordinate subcontracts and skilled trades to make sure that manufacturing processes to comply.
- There is a moderate amount of travel throughout greater Dayton, Ohio required for this job.
- Take on any additional responsibilities as necessary.
PLC Field Service Technician (Dayton Area) Job Requirements:
- A minimum of an Associate’s degree is required for this job.
- 2-5 years of experience is required for this job.
- 2D and 3D AutoCAD proficiency is required.
- Ability to understand complex machine schematics and software, ideally programmable logic controls (PLC), HMI, Robotics, and Servo programs.
- Ability to write and troubleshoot PLC code.
- Robotics experience is a plus for this job.
