Indianapolis Plant Manager Overview:
The Plant Manager must plan, organize, and maintain all operations at the greater Indianapolis, Indiana manufacturing plant. He or she will have full Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibility for this job and will need to direct production in a way that cuts down on costs, time, and manufacturing waste. He or she will also need to factor in several departments, such as quality, engineering, and maintenance, when managing production and driving the company toward its business goals. The Plant Manager will also bolster up the company’s image and reputation to better serve customers and retain business. For this job, the Plant Manager will report to the company’s executive board and will have several department managers reporting to him/her at the greater Indianapolis site.
Indianapolis Plant Manager Job Opening
- The first job of the Plant Manager is to ensure cost-effective, safe, expedient production at the greater Indianapolis site.
- For this job, he or she will need to ensure that maintenance sustains machines and conducts preventative maintenance at the plant.
- The Plant Manager will have full hiring, firing, and training responsibilities for this job.
- For this job, he or she must uphold safety procedures.
- The Plant Manager will also occasionally conduct plant tours on a regular basis.
Plant Manager (Indianapolis Area) Job Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree, at minimum, is required for this job.
- At least 5 years of experience in a plant leadership role is required.
- Advanced degree is strongly preferred for this job.
- Experience with lean manufacturing is a large plus for this role.
