Ann Arbor Mold Setter Overview:
The Mold Setter is primarily responsible for operating different presses and setting molds at the greater Ann Arbor site. When doing so, the Mold Setter will have to factor in cost, quality, safety and other aspects to best complete the job. The Mold Setter must work with other team members, such as the Process Engineer and the Shift Supervisor to best start jobs. The Mold Setter will oversee the mold process from start to finish and is the responsible for ensuring that the integrity of the mold is not compromised. For this job, the Mold Setter will report to the Shift Supervisor at the greater Ann Arbor, Michigan plant and will collaborate with the Process Engineer for technical nuances of the job.
Ann Arbor Mold Setter Job Opening
- First and foremost, the Mold Setter is responsible for working safely and promoting a clean, organized Ann Arbor plant.
- This job also requires the Mold Setter to factor in cost when setting up the mold; the role will also take on continuous improvement initiatives as set by the Shift Supervisor.
- The Mold Setter must consistently review the quality book and the company standards for quality to ensure top-of-the-line molds and products.
- The Mold Setter will take part in occasional training exercises on plant safety, continuous improvement, and mold settings processes.
Mold Setter (Ann Arbor Area) Job Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in injection molding and plastics.
- Ability to work overtime as needed by the various job orders.
- Experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
