Detroit Mechanic Overview:
The Mechanic will perform a wide variety of duties at the greater Detroit, Michigan site in order to help sustain safe, reliable manufacturing production. He or she will need to support maintenance setup/installation and repair functions by troubleshooting equipment, collaborating with technicians, and working with tooling. The Mechanic will not only conduct repairs and corrective maintenance, but also preventative maintenance based on analysis gleaned from the production. The Mechanic will help keep the shop floor clean and safe, but will also keep an eye on inventory shortages and equipment and materials that can improve the shop. The Mechanic will report to the Shop Foreman at the Detroit plant for this job.
Detroit Mechanic Job Opening
- For this job, the Mechanic will maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, and tinker with CNC machinery on-site at the greater Detroit, Michigan location.
- Additionally, the Mechanic will install, setup, and help train operators on the proper usage of the CNC machines.
- This role must perform regular preventative maintenance on various pieces of equipment for the company.
- This job will also involve replacing various components in order to optimize equipment usage for the Detroit plant.
- The Mechanic must also clean and lubricate various pieces of the CNC machinery.
- There is no travel involved with this job.
Mechanic (Detroit Area) Job Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience repairing and operating CNC machinery is required for this position.
- A minimum of a high school diploma is required for this job.
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
