Detroit Maintenance Technician Overview:
The Maintenance Technician will handle all maintenance tasks and activities within the campus. The Maintenance Technician will receive and organize maintenance tickets in order to ensure the facility operates as efficiently as possible. The Maintenance Technician will report to the facility manager and will carry out activities based on the facility manager’s direction.
Detroit Maintenance Technician Job Opening:
- The Detroit Maintenance Technician will answer service calls within the campus and its buildings.
- Ensure that the campus’s ticketing system is properly maintained, assigning high priority to major issues.
- Ensure that preventative maintenance occurs according to schedule, keep records that activities were performed.
- The Detroit Maintenance Technician will investigate a wide variety of electrical, construction, and other facility related maintenance issues.
- Order materials and other equipment to perform maintenance activities.
- Lay wire and cable within the facility to account for construction changes.
- The Detroit Maintenance Technician will solicit contractor quotes for services needed to complete maintenance.
- Performing regular cleaning of public and private areas on the campus, including mopping, polishing, and dusting.
Maintenance Technician (Detroit Area) Job Requirements:
- Possession of a high school diploma is a minimum for this position.
- A minimum of one year of general building maintenance and repair experience.
- Familiar with tools, machine, and other things associated with maintenance activities.
- Familiar working in a manufacturing in warehouse facility, carrying out a wide variety of corrective maintenance activities.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to understand written assembly or maintenance instructions.
