Reno Maintenance Manager Overview:

The Reno Maintenance Manager will plan and enact a strategy for improving the reliability of equipment within the facility. The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for improving the function of the maintenance strategy, process, and the culture of the maintenance team. The Reno Maintenance Manager will focus on the implementation of a predictive preventative maintenance system.

• The Reno Maintenance manager will develop a budget for maintenance annually and also monitor all spending.
• Utilize MP2 Computerized Maintenance Management System to continuously improve the maintenance system.
• Plan and implement new systems to reduce downtime, improve scheduled maintenance, and plan maintenance to effectively fit into the production schedule.
• The Reno Maintenance manager will create metrics and a reporting system to track the progress of the maintenance system.
• Ensure the facility is maintained in a safe manner and that the facility has an appropriate level of equipment available.
• Perform reviews on the work of maintenance employees as well as regularly observing their activities.
• The Reno Maintenance Manager will plan and lead training for maintenance personnel.
• Regularly interface with the production manager to schedule maintenance activity without interfering with production activity.
• Lead in the analysis for all downtime incidents to identify the root cause of the error.
• The Reno Maintenance Manager will plan, suggest, and implement improvements to the operational and maintenance procedures.
• Suggest technological improvements.

Maintenance Manager (Reno Area) Job Requirements:

• A four year degree from accredited university, preferably in engineering.
• At least three years of experience as a maintenance manager in a facility that is continuously operating.
• Previous history with a computer maintenance management system, preferably MP2.
• At least one year of scheduling/planning experience.
• A strong familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, internet browser, and other standard business software.
• A high level of technical knowledge concerning electrical and mechanical.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to build positive relationships with fellow personnel.
