The Los Angeles Lead Programmer will provide IT solutions to system related issues. The Los Angeles Lead Programmer will work closely with business leaders to understand their aims and objectives. The Lead Programmer will administer IT systems for the company and will be relied upon to update those systems as necessary. The Lead Programmer will be responsible for developing new software, applications, and web sites to meet business requirements.

- The Los Angeles Lead Programmer will administrate systems relating to operations of different business processes.
- Develop improvements for business systems, implement them, and provide technical support.
- Create and execute plans to improve business applications, including developing a list of necessary materials and action.
- The Los Angeles Lead Programmer will supervise select associates and contractors working on projects within the department.
- Develop estimates of the cost to develop software.
- Create schedules for software development projects, assign tasks to associates and contractors to ensure on time completion.
- The Los Angeles Lead Programmer will meet with key leaders in order to share information and understand business requirements.
- Understand business requirements and transfer those requirements into specifications for the application’s design.
- Develop software at an expert level; able to mentor, coach, and correct other programmers.
Lead Programmer (Los Angeles Area) Job Requirements:
- At least a four year degree (BS or BA) in the field of business administration, computer science, or a related area from an accredited university.
- At least seven years of experience writing code for a business.
- At least seven years of experience developing, supporting, configuring, and integrating systems such as SAP, Infor, Oracle, or other similar applications.
- At least three years of exposure to financial, manufacturing, or distribution systems.
- A familiarity with how business processes function, for example, how a product is developed, manufactured, marketed to the consumer, and delivered to the retailer.
