A growing tool and die manufacturer is seeking an Estimator in the greater Detroit, Michigan area.

Detroit, Michigan Estimator Job Opening

Read parts, prints, and math data to determine engineering and quality specifications.
Determine and review preliminary process, blank sizes, and strip layout requirements.
Review customer engineering changes and die repair needs for costs.
Report and update tracking systems on the status of current projects.
Help analyze and review lessons for quoting improvements and recommend solutions for departmental improvements.

Estimator (Detroit, Michigan) Job Requirements:

Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
At least 3 years of experience with cost engineering and estimating in a manufacturing facility.
At least 5 years of experience with Tool and Die building and design.
Knowledge of major engineering softwares such as CATIA, Unigraphics, and AutoForm Simulation.
Knowledge of sheet metal properties especially for high strength steels and dual phase steals.
