- The Jackson Engineering Manager will provide leadership and guidance to a staff of engineers and area managers.
- Oversee new model programs and define requirements for equipment, materials, and tooling.
- Lead the creation of the manufacturing plan for major and minor programs.
- The Jackson Engineering Manager will define the program requirements and ensures requirements meet standards for cost, quality, and safety.
- Interface with production staff to minimize the production issues.
- Ensure program specifications are met throughout the process.
- The Jackson Engineering manager will assist plant production staff in solving quality, cost, or safety problems related to the program’s engineering.
- Develop and administer the budget for the program.
- Collaborate with manufacturing staff to complete continuous improvement initiatives.
- The Jackson Engineering Manager will assign tasks and other work to members of the engineering team.
- Ensure Engineers are assigned duties in order to have them done well while also developing the skills of the engineering team.

Engineering Manager (Jackson Area) Job Requirements:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A four year degree in engineering from an accredited university.
- Possession of a masters degree in engineering would be preferable.
- At least ten years of automotive engineering experience.
- At least two years of experience managing other engineers.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to motivate team members.
- Familiar with developing tooling.
- Understanding of manufacturing quality standards.
- Familiar working in an environment with varied subordinate staff and contractors.
- A thorough understanding of automotive engineering, processes, tooling, production, and quality.
- Familiar with the Microsoft Office suite of software, especially excel and powerpoint.
- Familiar with CAD and 3D modeling software.
- Able to travel domestically and internationally.
