For this job, the Director of Logistics will need to effectively manage and improve several warehouses in the greater Bakersfield, California locations. He or she will be heading up the transportation and logistics department of this organization, and will be leading a team of several logistics management direct reports. He or she will hire, train, onboard, and terminate mid-level managers as necessary for this job. This role will additionally be managing the work for several hundred warehouse associates across multiple sites. The Director of Logistics will also be held to several key performance indicators for transportation and efficiency while on the job.
Bakersfield Director of Logistics Job Opening
- The Director of Logistics will implement procedures that improve quality, productivity, and efficiency of the shipping procedures at the multiple manufacturing sites in the greater Bakersfield locations.
- This job will set several key performance indicators for each Warehouse Manager within the region.
- The Director of Logistics will also conduct improvements to warehouse design and layout while on this job.
