Ann Arbor Area Director of Engineering Overview:
This job requires a Director of Engineering candidate who has a strong background designing and maintaining different industrial components. The ideal candidate will have experience with all functions of the product design and release process, from marketing, purchasing, and sales etc. A competitive candidate will also be familiar with listing agencies such as UL. Knowledge of motors and related electrical components, and HVAC systems will also be viewed in a positive light. This position will also be involved in communication with the stakeholders in both a verbal and written capacity, experience with this is a plus.
Ann Arbor Area Director of Engineering Job Opening
- Test and evaluate compressors and components to ensure certification and continued compliance
- Coordinate project work internally with the department and externally with other departments. These include but are not limited to Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, Testing, Purchasing, Marketing, Accounting, etc.
- Ensure on-time completion of projects and within budget.
- Coordination with remote engineering centers as required.
- Work in coordination with the Technical Support and Application Engineering teams to address technical customer issues.
- Work directly with customers to understand difficult product or system concerns and to expedite customer satisfaction.
Director of Engineering (Ann Arbor Area) Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; and minimum ten years related experience. A Master’s Degree related to HVAC engineering or cooling process is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft office, including but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Microsoft excel, Microsoft Project
- Minimum of 5 Years of experience an Engineering Management position, or a Product Engineering position
- Must be able to travel 10% of the time and legally authorized to work in the United States
- Participation in ASHRAE, AHRI, or other congress, fairs, and technical meetings is encouraged.
