The Grand Rapids Cost Accountant will be responsible for keeping a general ledger.
Create and enter journal entries.
Ensure that balance sheets match with income statement accounts.
The Grand Rapids Cost Accountant will establish cost standards for labor and burden rates.
Assist with the tracking and analysis of physical inventory, cycle count programs, as well as slow moving inventory.
Participate in the preparation of the monthly financial package.

Cost Accountant (Grand Rapids Area) Job Requirements:

A four year degree in the field of finance or accounting from an accredited institution.
At least five years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
Familiarity working in a manufacturing environment.
Strong analytical skills, able to gather data and draw conclusions.
Comfortable working in a cross departmental team.
Exceptional familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
Familiarity with SAP systems.
A through knowledge of accounting controls and principles.
Possession of a Certified Public Accountant certification is required.
