Detroit Electrical Engineer Overview:
The Detroit Electrical Engineer will be responsible for assisting with the manufacture and installation ofcritical industrial equipment. This equipment includes, but is not limited to, HVAC and refrigeration, chiller and boiler components and other equipment used in power and energy distribution. The Detroit based Electrical Engineer will also be required to assist in the development of project budgets, estimating the costs or materials and labor to complete individual jobs. Applicants must be able to work with other engineers, with customers and other team members regarding the completion of projects and products. Electrical Engineer job candidates must also be willing to assist in the training and mentoring of other Detroit based team members.
Detroit Electrical Engineer Job Opening
- The Electrical Engineer must be able to read and interpret all manner of technical drawings including schematics, specifications, and other reports.
- Applicants must be able to follow applicable safety codes and standards when choosing power distribution equipment.
- Candidates for this job must able to perform all manner of calculations including fault current, arc-flash ratings, minimum circuit ampacity and others.
- The Electrical Engineer will coordinate and direct all activities relating to the manufacture and installation of equipment, ensuring compliance with customer requests and local codes.
Electrical Engineer (Detroit Area) Job Requirements:
- The Electrical Engineer must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- Applicants must have five or more years’ experience in industrial equipment manufacturing or similar.
- Candidates must have proficient software skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and others.
- The Electrical Engineer must be able to perform work thoroughly and accurately, utilizing analytical skills and being detail oriented.
- This job requires excellent verbal and written communication.
