The greater Chicago, Illinois metro area Buyer will search out and vet new supplier sources and will maintain healthy relationships with current suppliers. He or she will be responsible for participating in supplier negotiations. The Buyer will be responsible for recording information related to material inventory and purchasing processes.
Chicago, Illinois Buyer Job Opening:
- The Buyer will build and maintain relationships with plant inventory personnel in order to ensure materials are ordered and delivered when needed.
- He or she will be responsible for current contracts with vendors and will stay in close contact with suppliers.
- The Buyer will maintain a database of materials and will keep records of contacts with vendors and plant purchasing managers.
Buyer (Chicago, Illinois Area) Job Requirements:
- A four-year degree from an accredited institute in the field of supply chain management, or a similar field, is required for this role.
