Nashville Buyer Overview:
This job will be responsible for the purchasing and procurement of all materials, parts, components, and supplies needed at the Nashville, Tennessee area facility. The Buyer will need to negotiate with current vendors to maintain prices and stores of production materials and facility MRO supplies. This job will require a strong enough technical prowess to interpret blueprints and discuss production needs with engineers. This Buyer will be included at times in discussions on improvement ideas based on an understanding of the production and blueprints for product development and process development.
Nashville Buyer Job Opening
- This job is responsible for the purchasing and procurement of all materials, parts, and components for the manufacturing of products at the Nashville area facility.
- The Buyer will also be responsible for maintaining stores of MRO supplies and any necessities of the facilities.
- This job will communicate with engineers and interpret blue prints to assist development of improvement ideas.
- The Buyer must remain flexible and able to coordinate and negotiate with vendors for best possible prices.
- This job will be expected to exhibit stability and a capacity to handle different tasks.
Buyer (Nashville Area) Job Requirements:
- This job requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- An engineering degree is preferred but technical knowledge and working experience is highly valued.
- Candidates must have experience interpreting blue prints and negotiating with vendors.
- This job requires good communication skills and an understanding of different cultures to best coordinate with engineers and vendors.
- Candidates must have experience in buying, procurement, purchasing or sourcing for the automotive industry.
