Battle Creek Michigan Designer Overview:  

The job responsibilities of the Battle Creek, Michigan Designer entail consistently complying with company job safety procedures while successfully creating process and fixture drawings and product designs that meet the customers expectations. The Battle Creek Designer will have no direct reports in this job position but is expected to collaborate on a cross functional with other job personnel. Additional duties of the Designer in Battle Creek include occasional customer contact for technical reviews, ensuring quality within product drawings and designs, and continuously utilizing best practices. 

Battle Creek Michigan Designer Job Opening

• Maintain compliance with industry best practices and company safety procedures and practices.
• The Battle Creek Designer will create process and fixture drawings, tooling layouts, and gage designs.
• Contribute to a cross functional team to meet project specs and ensure customer expectations are met.
• The Battle Creek Designer will undergo training as required in company’s chosen design software.
• This job position will perform all duties as assigned by the Manufacturing Engineer Manger.

Designer (Battle Creek Area) Job Requirements:

• Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
• The Battle Creek Designer job applicant needs at least two years’ experience as a designer in the engineering field.
• A two-year degree in design engineering or a similar field.
• Experience in Solid Works is a must for the Battle Creek Designer.
• A comprehensive grasp of LEAN methodology.
