For this job, the Director of Engineering will lead the greater Harrisburg, Pennsylvania plants Engineering Department. This will entail managerial responsibilities, as well as the implementation of customer projects and product development, product innovation, and additional engineering needs throughout the organization. The Director of Engineering will need to allocate resources for the greater Harrisburg, Pennsylvania plant for various projects and will also be maintaining a schedule of projects and administrative duties. The Director of Engineering will have several direct reports at the greater Harrisburg, Pennsylvania plant and will report directly to the company’s VP of Operations. 

Harrisburg Director of Engineering Job Opening

• The first job of the Director of Engineering is to forecast and put together resources for projects for the Engineering Department at the metro Harrisburg, location.
• The Director of Engineering will delegate tasks out to department team leads and will be responsible for the holistic success and efficiency of the Engineering Department.
• For this job, the Director of Engineering must maintain a project log and report various engineering activities to the company’s executive management.
• The Director of Engineering will provide design guidance to the design engineering team for various job orders.
• There is little travel outside of metro Harrisburg, PA required for this job. 

Director of Engineering (Harrisburg Area) Job Requirements:  

• A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or the equivalent in years of experience, are required for this job.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive engineering experience are required for this job.
• Familiarity with CAD software, as well as PLC and CNC-based machinery.
• Ability to be a team player.
