Grand Rapids Sourcing and Contract Manager Overview:
The Grand Rapids Sourcing and Contract Manager will assist and support senior management as well as sourcing managers through ensuring that necessary products and services are acquired in a timely and cost effective manner. The Sourcing and Contract Manager will oversee and lead the sourcing progress in its entirety.
Grand Rapids Sourcing and Contract Manager Job Opening
- The Grand Rapids Sourcing and Contract Manager will remain in constant contact with management and senior leadership to understand the material and service needs of the company.
- Oversee the entire sourcing cycle from initial market research to understand the range of costs, through negotiations, contract verification, and reception of materials.
- Meet with management to understand particular specifications of necessary products or services in order to evaluate potential suppliers or service providers. Interface with management throughout the selection process to ensure their satisfaction.
- The Grand Rapids Sourcing and Contract Manager will lead the contract negotiation process, retain responsibility for all contracts, and ensure that contracts comply with all internal policies and procedures as well as all external regulations.
- Take part in the hiring and staffing process for the department. Assist in the interview and selection process of staff.
- Provide personnel with consistent feedback to develop the department and it individual members.
Sourcing and Contract Manager (Grand Rapids Area) Job Requirements:
- A four year degree in business, supply chain, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- At least five to sever years of experience in a sourcing role.
- At least three to four years of experience in a management role.
- Proven history of contract negotiation.
- Excellent persuasion and influence skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- APICS certification would be preferable for this position.
- A proven history of successful change management and project management.
- Exceptional organization skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
