Atlanta Senior Electrical Engineer Overview:

The Atlanta Senior Electrical Engineer will work in the engineering department. The Senior Electrical Engineer will report directly to the Engineering Manager. The Senior Electrical Engineer will take part in product planning, and re-designing electrical systems to improve functionality. The Senior Electrical Engineer will design circuitry and other components of products’ electrical systems.

• The Senior Electrical Engineer will participate in early product design planning, and serve as a leader with all electrical system and circuit designs.
• Perform troubleshooting on product prototypes and redesign circuits and systems in order to correct all errors.
• Senior Electrical Engineer will document all CAD Circuit Designs and re-designs.
• Participate in Engineering Department planning with the Engineering Manager and other senior staff.
• The Atlanta Senior Electrical Engineer will perform circuit tests and evaluate electrical systems.
• Identify areas of improvement in circuit and electrical systems designs. Implement design changes.
• Participate in trouble shooting and technical support in escalated technical issues.
• The Senior Electrical Engineer will develop preliminary designs.
• Provide mentoring and advice to electrical engineers on designs and other topics.
• The Atlanta Senior Electrical Engineer will maintain a current level of knowledge on the principles of electrical engineering and circuit design.
• Maintain an understanding of industry trends and innovations.
• Perform other duties as directed by the engineering manager.

Senior Electrical Engineer (Atlanta Area) Job Requirements:

• A four year degree in electrical engineering from an accredited college or university.
• At least seven years of job experience in an electrical engineering role.
• Experience designing imaging systems would be beneficial.
• Great communication skills.
• Proficient with AutoCAD software.
• Good with computers and Microsoft Office suite of programs.
• A team oriented mindset, comfortable working in a collaborative environment.
• Excellent math and problem solving skills.
• Six Sigma training would be preferred to this job, and certification would be beneficial.
