Detroit Export Coordinator Overview: 

The Export Coordinator will need to professionally schedule export shipments and make sure that freight is delivered in an expedient and efficient fashion for this Detroit, Michigan job. He or she will be an extension of the company’s logistics department in Detroit, as it prides itself on great customer service and adherence to great logistical procedures. The Export Coordinator will need to maintain data and track all shipments in order to ensure proper delivery of the products outside of Detroit. The Export Coordinator will be reporting to the Logistics Manager and will be a part of the Supply Chain department.

Detroit Export Coordinator Job Opening 

  • The Export Coordinator will primarily be responsible for scheduling ocean shipments and ensuring the expedient delivery of freight.
  • The role must make booking arrangements with clients outside of Detroit as a part of the shipping process.
  • The position must exhibit all customer service in all his or her operations.
  • The Export Coordinator must document all export shipment coordinates in order to help track freight that leaves the site.
  • The role must look over documents and orders from outside suppliers, vendors, and clients to ensure accuracy with each shipment.
  • The position must work with the rest of the supply chain department in order to resolve documentation errors that may happen on various jobs.
  • The Export Coordinator will complete any objectives as given by the Logistics Manager.
  • This job does not require any travel outside of the Detroit site.
Export Coordinator (Detroit Area) Job Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of clerical experience is required for this job.
  • Experience in logistics and exports are greatly beneficial for this job.
  • A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree is a plus for this job.
  • Desire to grow within the organization is a plus
  • Great communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Desire to learn and improve processes.
  • Attention to detail.
