- The Health Services Administrator will provide treatment to employee illnesses of injuries in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, or, if necessary, refer employees to receive medical care from their personal physician or another health care provider.
- Oversee the company’s Worker Compensation and Loss Control program, specially ensuring all records are maintained, data is properly reported, and accident analyses are completed.
- The Health Services Administrator must oversee FMLA, Short Term Disability, and Substance Abuse Program.
- Oversee all drug testing policies during job offers, after incidents, and random drug tests.
- The Health Services Administrator will evaluate physicals and assess the health of candidates for employment for proper placement or hire at the Madison, Wisconsin site.
- Administer the Employee Assistance Program and work with managers and employees to provide referrals concerning relationships, performance problems, drug or alcohol abuse, or legal and financial difficulties.
- The Health Services Administrator must serve as an example and advocate for the company’s wellness program and all other health programs such as: hearing and sight tests, heart screens, safety glass programs, CPR and first aid training, and physical therapy programs.
- Ensure the maintenance and confidentiality of all medical records and other related documents.
- Partner with Environmental, Health & Safety, and Human Resources staff.
- Keep a safe and clean work area at the Madison, Wisconsin plant.
Health Services Administrator (Madison Area) Job Requirements:
- Comfortable working primarily in an office environment, but able to work throughout the facilities, including the shop floor.
- Capable of attaining or possession of Basic Life Support Certification.
- Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds.
- LPN or RN certification.
- Experience working in a hospital or occupational health setting.
- A demonstrated history of administering wellness programs, insurance/worker’s compensation, and developing policy.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, both in person and through writing.
- Advanced problem solving skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work with little to no direction.
