Mechanical Design Engineer Job Opening Cleveland

Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering expertise on new company projects and products
- Creative expertise in the product development process
- Expertise working in autonomous and team-oriented environments
- Responsible for executing various product design assignments with the design team
- Periodically responsible for traveling to trade shows and different client visits
- Will be expected to work on cross-functional teams (sales, manufacturing, marketing, development, testing, quality, suppliers, engineering)
- Ability to improve various products’ aesthetic, ergonomic, and functional qualities utilizing various CAD software drawings in both 2D and 3D
- Will be responsible for having a key role in the product testing process while working in cross-functional teams
- Will occasionally be responsible for helping conduct test reports
Base Knowledge Required:
- Great expertise in AutoDesk products such as 3D Inventor Series and 2D AutoCAD
- Adept ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
- Strong ability and knowledge to use computer generated rendering software
- Experience communicating designs to customers
- Powerpoint and Microsoft Office experience is a big plus
Additional/Preferred Knowledge Required:
- At least 10 years in the industries of Product Design or Mechanical Engineering
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in Industrial Design or a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience working with and designing various metals
Physical Requirements:
- Data entry while sitting at a computer desk
- Walking to retrieve papers from a printer or fax machine
- Filing hard copies of reports, assignments, and bills
- Walking through manufacturing plants based on requirements of various job requirements
