We are seeking a results-driven Seed Sales Specialist to develop and maintain strong customer relationships while promoting seed products and agricultural solutions. The ideal candidate will combine agronomic knowledge with sales expertise to help growers maximize crop performance and achieve their production goals. Position Responsibilities
Customer Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with growers, distributors, and agricultural partners.
- Serve as a trusted advisor by providing product knowledge and agronomic support.
- Conduct regular customer visits to understand operational needs and identify opportunities.
Sales & Business Development
- Promote and sell seed products and related agricultural solutions.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand market presence within the assigned territory.
- Develop and execute sales plans to achieve revenue and growth objectives.
Product Knowledge & Agronomic Support
- Provide technical recommendations regarding seed selection, planting strategies, and crop performance.
- Educate customers on product features, benefits, and best management practices.
- Support field demonstrations, product trials, and customer evaluations.
Market Analysis
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market conditions.
- Gather customer feedback and provide insights to leadership and product teams.
- Identify emerging opportunities within the agricultural marketplace.
Territory Management
- Maintain accurate customer records, sales forecasts, and activity reports.
- Effectively manage travel schedules and territory coverage.
- Ensure timely follow-up on customer inquiries and sales opportunities.
Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with internal sales, agronomy, marketing, and operations teams.
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
- Provide regular updates on territory performance and business development efforts.
Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in agricultural sales, seed sales, agronomy, or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of crop production and agricultural practices.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a sales territory effectively.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.
